As you’ve all heard by now from Colleen, after several years of dedicated service, she has decided to step down as HOME WORKS! CEO. I am grateful to Colleen and proud of all we accomplished during her tenure. While we will certainly miss her leadership, we are poised for a great future.
Thanks to expanded support from our long-time, dedicated donors and new donors joining our cause, we enter this phase with a strong financial foundation and are poised to bring our impactful program to even more students, families, and schools. Because of you, thousands of students have benefitted from our collaborative, evidence-based approach to family engagement. Year after year, HOME WORKS!’ students attend school more regularly, outperform their peers on academic assessments, and feel more connected to their teachers. With this combination of financial and programmatic strength, the groundwork has been laid for significant growth. We are eager to build on this momentum with our dedicated team and partners.
Last year, we set a goal for ourselves to serve 10,000 new students by 2033. We are committed to meeting that goal. Strategic planning to get us there is already underway and we are excited to share our vision with you and the community once it’s finalized.
The board has already begun the search for a new CEO, and we remain focused on finding a leader who will continue to drive our mission forward.
During this transition period, Ed Dickinson will step in as the interim CEO. Ed joined our Finance Committee as a community volunteer in 2020 and was elected to the full board in 2022. His deep involvement with HOME WORKS! as a member of the Executive, Finance, and Development committees will ensure continuity in our work.
We will keep you updated throughout the transition. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to reach out to Ed at [email protected] or myself if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to our work. Together, we will continue to make a meaningful difference for students, families, and our school communities.
Warm regards, |
