New School Year and New Leadership coming to HOME WORKS!

Kathryn BraytonConnection

Welcome to the new school year!

Here at HOME WORKS!, we are excited for the new school year and all the possibilities that come with partnering families and teachers for student success. We have new school partnerships to celebrate, along with our returning schools, and our evaluators are hard at work analyzing our data from last school year. Keep an eye out for our 24-25 Impact Report in October.

I also want to share some important news regarding a leadership transition at HOME WORKS!. I have decided to step down from my role as CEO, effective September 13, 2024.

It has been a tremendous honor to serve as the leader of this incredible organization. During my tenure, I have been deeply inspired by the unwavering commitment of our teachers, families, school partners, and supporters like you, who have played a vital role in advancing our mission. Because of you, thousands of students have benefitted from our collaborative, evidence-based approach to family engagement. Year after year, HOME WORKS!’ students attend school more regularly, outperform their peers on academic assessments, and feel more connected to their teachers. I’m proud to have played a part in that success.

The Board of Directors is actively working to ensure a smooth transition and has already initiated the search for a new CEO. I am fully committed to supporting the organization during this transition period and will work closely with the board to ensure that our programs and initiatives continue to move forward seamlessly. You will hear from them in the coming days.

I am so grateful for your generous support and dedication. Please know that I will always remain a passionate advocate for HOME WORKS! and students from underserved communities. I am confident that under new leadership, HOME WORKS! will continue to support teachers, engage parents, and transform students with even greater vigor and commitment.

Should you have any questions or wish to discuss this transition further, please feel free to reach out to me directly. After September 13th, you can reach me at [email protected].
